Spring time is finally here in Southern California which means car show season is in full force. Get ready for more gals in scantily clad bathing suits lounging in classic cars alongside our golden ocean coast line. OurBabe of the Month will now be featured at the beginning of the month so be sure to make note in your calendars!
Ready to meet our Miss April? She is one of the classiest gals around. Hailing from the City of Angels, Miss Jenny Dame has been one of my favorite pinups to work with. Her look truly emulates classic pinup style and she often gets called or compared to Dita Von Teese. Jenny also has the most amazing vintage wardrobe collections.
Her recent talents include taking up sewing and creating her own vintage masterpieces. I have collaborated with Jenny since early 2000. We have worked together on several projects including a cover feature for Classic and Kustom Bombs Magazine as well as my 2017 Pinup Calendar. Be sure to be on the lookout for Jenny in the new 2019 Calendar due out this July. In the meantime enjoy the interview!

Favorite Part Of Living In California?
My favorite part about living in California is Little Tokyo. My boyfriend and I have an admiration for the Japanese culture so we love to look at all the cute shops and eating ramen every chance we get.
How Did You Get Into Modeling?
I got into modeling by attending car shows. I would meet photographers from the show and set up a photoshoot that way.
What’s Been Your Biggest Modeling Gig?
My biggest modeling gig would be shooting and sitting inside the classic Hirohata Merc. My second feature with Mitzi for the cover of Classic and Kustom Bombs Magazine was awesome too. The shoot was to take place at the Petersen Museum. I nearly died when I found out it was with the original Hirohata Merc and I was to be to the first pinup to not only shoot with this classic car but also at brand new museum as well.
What’s Your Favorite Car Show And Why?
Favorite car show would be a tie between Mooneyes and the car show at Viva. Mooneyes will have a special place in my heart because it was the first car show I attended. Viva is another favorite because it’s nostalgic being at Viva – where most of us spent a year anticipating it. Everyone is so glamorous walking around and it’s always a fun time running into your friends you haven’t seen in a while.
Do You Have A Favorite Hot Rod or classic car?
My favorite classic car is my dad’s 1965 Mercedes 200. After my dad passed the car was left to me. My dad loved that car, he was very proud of the fact that when he bought it he paid it all in cash. It’s my dream to get it fixed up and polished again so I can drive it around sharing the same love for the car as my dad had. It’ll be like having a piece of him back which makes me smile.
Describe Your Perfect Date
My perfect date would be eating ramen and watching anime on our phone at the table. Given the chance, anime is super entertaining to watch! Another perfect date would be spending all day at the beach surfing.
What Are You Are Passionate About In Life?
I’m passionate about being an example of good. I always try to put my best foot forward with meeting anyone new. I always try to be kind and helpful. I am also passionate about my pin up modeling. It has giving me an outlet to be creative and expressive in this art of being photographed. It’s led to so many amazing opportunities I wouldn’t have experienced otherwise. It has definitely enriched my life.
What Do You Enjoy Doing On Your Free Time?
Sewing has gladly taken most of my free time I work on at least two projects at any given time. Growing up I wanted to sew like my grandmas. Both of my grandmas sewed but I especially wanted to have the skill set as my grandma Eva. She was a renowned seamstress. She could sew anything just by looking at a photo.
She made countless wedding dresses for family and friends. I am nowhere near that level but I’m learning and getting better. I find it so empowering to wear something you have made. I love that feeling to walk around or to model in my clothing knowing that I put it together. I completed the impossible puzzle spending hours working on a dress and have it look like how I imagined. I love that feeling.
What Are Your Strongest Attributes?
I am loyal, consistent and reliable. I always try to be dependable and professional. I am friendly and glamorous. Glamour to me is surrounding yourself with beautiful things and making the effort to look your absolute best.
What’s Your Favorite Social Media Outlet And Why?
Instagram is my go-to social media outlet. I love it for networking, connecting with photographers and makeup artist. I’ve made amazing friends through Instagram and it’s an outlet to continually be inspired.
Job You Thought You Would Be Doing
The job I wanted in high school was to be a Marine Biologist. I attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa to study marine life and I did enjoy taking the courses but… I realized it wasn’t my passion.
What Does The Future Hold For You?
Since I have this new love for sewing, I believe I found my passion. I plan on continuing making outfits for my photo shoots and furthering my skills to make dresses for others. I’m planning on taking courses on pattern making so I can learn more and continue improving. I dream about having my own couture brand and making intricate dresses and wedding gowns. I might even make a gown for the Oscars!
