SEMA 2012: Classic Industries Has New Catalogs, Wholesale Program

When it comes to finding high quality replacement parts for your musclecar, one company that is bridging the gap between hard to find parts and readily available parts is Classic Industries. Three new parts catalogs are now available for enthusiasts: Mopar, Tri-Five Chevy, and Gen 5 Camaro, and each catalog is big enough to stand alone.

Mopar A, B and E Body

Classic Industries has broken the tradition with the release of an extensive catalog specifically for Mopars. Their new Mopar Parts and Accessories catalog covers Dodge and Plymouth Muscle cars from 1960-1976. Coverage includes A, B and E body cars for restoration and performance, and includes everything from car covers to wiring harnesses.

What this means for Mopar fans is that restoring your classic musclecar has become a lot easier than it used to be, and Classic Industries has made that happen. We have all been to the salvage yards only to find parts are already gone, or trashed beyond repair. Swap meets are even worse when parts are tagged with the word “HEMI” and the price is marked up accordingly. Sometimes it’s a lose-lose situation.

But Classics Industries’  560 page catalog solves the dilemma and will keep you busy for hours, and includes “the most comprehensive selection of Mopar Licensed Products in the industry”. The catalog contains brand new reproduction parts to complete your restoration, or if you’re more interested in a restomod they offer complete disc brake conversion kits, engine components, gauges, wheels, and many more parts to get your project car back on the road and looking great.

Tri-Five Chevrolet Catalog

If you’ve been to a cruise night, a car show or almost anyplace that classic cars show up, one car that is almost always present is a Tri-Five Chevy – 1955, ’56 or ’57. Most of the time, these cars are completely restored and the moldings and trim usually look brand new. So where does one go to get these parts?

The '56 Chevy Bel Air built on Chop Cut Rebuild using parts from the Classic Industries catalog.

Classic Industries now has a complete 456-page catalog for the 1955-57 Chevrolet. As with their other catalogs, parts coverage includes trim, emblems and interior parts for restoration needs, and also a good supply of aftermarket parts for those interested in doing a resto-mod of their Tri-five.

From the popular television show Chop Cut Rebuild, host Dan Woods shows us the 1956 Chevrolet convertible that was built on the show using parts from Classic Industries. They had the ’56 on display in their booth, and Dan was also on hand to talk with people, and to sign autographs.

Gen 5 Camaro Catalog

One area that may come as a surprise when it comes to parts catalogs for replacement parts would be a newer vehicle, like the 2010+ Chevrolet Camaro. But Ray Yager, Advertising Director for Classic Industries, was eager to show us the new catalog and said, “These parts are something that many other companies won’t carry, but we have them.”

With the popularity of the Gen 5 Camaro, there was a need to provide a parts catalog for replacement and aftermarket parts for the 2010+ Camaro. This catalog includes far more than just replacement parts, though. If you’re looking to upgrade your Gen 5 Camaro for handling, complete suspension packages are available, including Hotchkis, H&R, Detroit Speed, and BMR, to name a few.

CI Advantage Plus+ Wholesale Dealer Program

Classic Industries has launched a new program dedicated to shops and rebuilders who use parts from any of their catalogs. The wholesale dealer program, called Advantage Plus+, helps shops by allowing them to get wholesale pricing without having to buy into the program. Where many other programs with other companies have a monthly minimum, or they require the shop to carry an inventory, the wholesale program from Classic Industries forgoes those standards.

Any shop that carries a current business license and a tax ID number can get in on this program. For California customers, a resale license is also required, but other than these two details the program is very basic and simple in design.

The program helps rebuilders and restorers alike to benefit from the program when they have a car in their shop that can use parts from Classic Industries. There is a very simple form to fill out and no hoops to jump through. There are no buy-ins, no minimum order requirements and no minimum monthly purchase requirements, making it a sweet deal for the occasional restorer that doesn’t have the space for additional inventory.

Take a look at the Classic Industries web site for more information and to see the catalogs that are available for other classic and muscle cars. And remember, if you’re a shop and you find yourself using these parts, ask them about their Advantage Plus+ Wholesale Program so you can save a few bucks on your next order.
