SEMA 2013: “The Car Chasers” Chase Classic Industries For Parts

carchasersSometimes it all starts with a group of friends who like buying, building and selling cars, and that’s what the theme is behind The Car Chasers on CNBC. But this team began long before their craft was ever covered on television, an idea that Meggan Bailey came up with in 2004, according to Jeff Allen.

The duo, along with the Mad Scientist, Eric Ables, told us at SEMA that they have been chasing cars, fixing them up, and turning them over for decades, and they accredit Classic Industries as being their go-to place when they need parts for a majority of their builds. Why choose Classic Industries? Because, as Allen puts it, “How many manufacturers at SEMA do this big of a volume.”

While you do find some companies that specialize in one line, or in one particular model, what makes Bailey’s task of finding and ordering parts is that she can contact one company – Classic Industries – for several of their current builds. Whether it’s a Camaro, Firebird, Impala, Tri-5, Nova, GM truck, or even a classic Mopar, one place is on their speed dial for parts for all of these vehicles.

Finding the right car to restore or build is one thing, but finding all of the interior and exterior trim in one place is a chore, and we’ve all been down that road where finding parts at the wrecking yards nets us with a couple of clips, one molding, and some assorted hardware – hardly worth the effort and time spent. But when you can contact Classic Industries for nearly all of the parts you need – including sheet metal – then you can’t go wrong with giving them a call.

Check them out at the Classic Industries web site, and if you’ve got a build and need a little motivation and push in the right direction, check out The Car Chasers, currently on Tuesday nights at CNBC.
