AccuAir e-Level System on Salinas Boys' 36 Ford.
Sometimes you just happen to stumble across an “oldie but goody” that is just too good not to share. Sure, there’s a million pictures out there on the Cole Foster and theĀ Salinas Boys built 1936 Ford – but how many full length feature videos have you seen with it in action?!
Cole Foster and crew were commissioned to build Kirk Hammett (guitarist for Metallica) a one-of-a-kind custom – and to say that they succeeded would probably be the world’s biggest understatement of all time. What they set out to accomplish, was far surpassed and what occurred became one of this generation’s most awe-inspiring customs.
From the flawless metal work that laid the ground work to a gorgeous deep black paint, to the subtle wheel/tire combo, to the rear skirts and full custom interior – this ’36 is in a class all it’s own. What we can tell you is this; after seeing this amazing ride for the first time in person at the 2010 Yokohama Mooneyes show in Japan, we were literally floored at the artful craftsmanship that stood before us.
Words, photos, and even video – just can’t do this piece of automobile history and true work of art the justice that it deserves. But hey – for those that have only seen this beautiful Ford in photos, this cool video of it in action is sure to fill some of the void and hopefully quench that thirst for more killer customs right here on Rod Authority.
