COMP Cams and the National Street Rod Association (NSRA) came together once again to present the Thumpr Award at the 45^th Annual Street Rod Nationals. Held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky on July 31^st through August 3^rd, 2014, more than 11,000 vintage cars, trucks, hot rods, and street rods were lined up competing for many different awards and enjoying the massive showcase. This show is easily considered one of the biggest shows on the planet.

The winner of the Comp Cams sponsored award was a gorgeous 1929 Ford Sedan owned by David and Brenda Lurding from La Grange, Kentucky. Certainly a one of a kind piece, this ’29 will steal your attention in a heartbeat. Loaded with a 1956 Ford Y-block 312 ci pushing about 350 horsepower, this car gets down and dirty too. Riding on custom air-ride suspension, the press of a button and it’s mere inches off the ground. Pretty amazing for a straight axle front!
