Dakota Digital HDX Gauges Feature True Award-Winning Quality

When you build a great part, people tend to take notice. It doesn’t matter whether that part is for a car, truck, or even a house, quality matters to some manufacturers. Personally, we don’t know of any company that exemplifies that more than Dakota Digital, and they have the accolades to prove it.

At the Goodguys’ 20^th Annual PPG Nationals, they bestowed Best Electrical Components & Accessories award to the custom gauge manufacturer. The recipient was the HDX Instrument Systems for `64-`72 Chevelle/El Camino.

This direct-fit system features more than 30 different lighting colors, capacitive-touch buttons, hidden dash indicators, and a turn signal reminder tone. In fact, we installed an HDX cluster in our C10, and you can see how easy it was by clicking here.

The HDX series from Dakota Digital is just the latest in the company’s quest to create great gauge set ups, and the HDX system takes personalization and usability to a whole new dimension. The HDX system features LED backlighting for the numbers, tick marks and dead-faced dash indicators (turn signals, high beam, check engine, cruise control, and parking brake). Illuminated needles and a lifetime warranty are still part of the deal as well. These features add up to a clean, easy to read instrument system in all conditions. Precision stepper motors provide accurate needle movement along with a full-sweep at key-on, and the needle hubs are black nickel plated spun-aluminum.
