The men who made drag racing a corporate battlefield, the legendary Ramchargers, are scheduled to be reunited again and inducted into the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame on Sunday, October 16, at the Vance Granville Civic Center in Henderson, North Carolina. To accompany the throng will be the equally as legendary “High & Mighty II.”
Held each October, the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame weekend has grown to become one of the Southeast’s largest car shows, drawing in well over 20,000 attendees and visitors, as well as being so large that the show closes down Henderson’s main street showcasing hundreds of classic and antique cars.
That comes in addition to a packed weekend of games, BBQ, and fun for the whole family.
Sunday, October 16 will kick off with the famous drag cars being displayed, along with scrapbook viewing and autograph signing, followed by the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame induction ceremony and awards presentation, where Master of Ceremony, Bret Kepner, will introduce the Ramchargers with the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Ramchargers team is composed of Thomas T. Coddington, Hartford (Mike) Buckel, Jim Thornton, Dick Maxwell (Posthumous), Dick Jones, M. Barnes Daniels, Gary Congdon, Thomas M. Hoover, David G.
