We’re going to admit up front that perusing eBay Motors for feature vehicles has become a bit of an unhealthy habit. We’ve nearly purchased a few cars that we know we’d never end up driving, building, or even waxing, but the desire to make a purchase remains nonetheless.
We did find this all steel ’32 Ford 5-window coupe out there today and it just sold for $26,375, so now we know what it takes to get a cool looking, running, and driving ’32!
Interestingly enough per the eBay listing this buildĀ cost overĀ $100,000, so for those of you math nerds it has a rate of return of about a quarter on the dollar. In today’s financial climate though, that’s about par.
This one has the classic look with satin black paint, whitewall radials, and chrome in all of the right places. Perhaps though the most unique aspect is the powerplant. We’re not typically ga-ga over a small block Chevy, as they’re as common as a crooked politician, but this one was intentionally dressed up as an Olds engine with an Offenhauser intake for some reason, and it’s honestly pretty cool.
The Chevmobile motor is backed up by a Turbo 400 automatic as well. It also has a ’40 Ford dropped Front axle with disc brakes, a split wishbone front end, and an adjustable coil over rear end.
We’ll take it!
