Built back in 2001, this ’32 Deuce comes straight out of the Lone Star state. Found over on eBay, this Chevy-powered Ford is a Gibbons body coated in two-stage PPG Yellow paint sanded and buffed to a deep shine, mounted to a TCI frame lengthened 8-inches in the engine compartment area to fit the 1983 454, which was bored .035 over. Built up with aluminum Brodix heads, 675cfm Demon carburetors, 8.1:1 pistons, a hydraulic roller cam, and the list can go on. Of course, the 671 fully polished blower is set up to be 4% over driven and gives it a great whine with instant power.
Backed by a Phoenix TH400 transmission with manual reverse valve body, a 9-inch Currie rear with positrac and 3:70 gears, and a set of Lemon header Zoomies. The drop straight axle makes for a great looking front end where everything is chrome or polished. It also has adjustable coil overs in the rear.
The attention to detail can be seen in features such as the painted to match hard lined radiator hoses and the large effort to keep the firewall uncluttered and looking clean. It is these overlooked features that set this car above the rest. The Wilwood disc brakes (with polished calipers) in front and rear stop this street dominator on a dime.
The Shawn Cook custom interior is finished in buckskin ultra leather and is extremely comfortable. The leather-wrapped dash looks extremely clean with only the black-faced Moon gauges. By eliminating all buttons and switches, the dash isn’t overcrowded and keeps it very classy.
All of the electrical is part of a Ron Francis wiring harness so electrical problems are not an issue. The Vintage Air A/C blows cold with no problems. The Hurst quarter stick shifter is mounted perfectly in between the seats and is right within reach. The billet steering wheel was custom wrapped to match the rest of the interior and looks great on the painted tilt steering column. As a bonus, this clean ride comes with a custom built aluminum trailer with soft top and matching wheels.
