For the sixth year, a panel of top automotive journalists from 15 countries throughout Asia, Europe, South Africa and South America served on the SEMA Global Media Awards (GMA) panel.
SEMA recognizes that automotive personalization and customization is growing worldwide. Though the appeal of making cars and trucks fit one’s lifestyle has strong roots in the United States, this enthusiast attitude is universal—and growing.
SEMA introduced the Global Media Award program in 2004 to highlight the wide appeal to enthusiasts on every continent of specialty-equipment products that are on display at the SEMA Show.
At the recent SEMA show in Las Vegas, Eddie Motorsports walked away with two new product awards for their billet aluminum Under-Hood kits for 1955-1957 Chevys. Eddie’s product was selected by a panel of international judges to receive a Global Media award, one of SEMA’s most prestigious, as one of the best new international products.
Eddie was also a runner up in the Street Rod and Custom Car new product category. This was Eddie Motorsports’ first ever entry into the prestigious new products competition at SEMA.
“To say we were mildly surprised would be an understatement,” said Joe Rode, Eddie Motorsports’ COO. “The quality and innovation of the products introduced at SEMA each year is incredible and we are flattered to be considered among the best in 2011,” continued Rode.
Eddie Motorsports’ Under-Hood kit adds the final shining touch and superior function to any engine compartment. The kit includes a set of their custom billet aluminum hood hinges, a billet hood brace and supports, and a billet two piece hood latch assembly. Of course, quality is of the up most importance and all of Eddie’s high quality billet aluminum products are manufactured in America at their Southern California facility.
