Senseless destruction and vandalism should be left to mail boxes and propane tanks, not a 1942 Chevrolet pickup. Autoholics covered the plight of Maurice Paradise and his meticulously restored ’42 Chevy pickup. It took Mr. Paradise over ten years to restore the ’42, but overnight a group of hooligans or scum-sucking pieces of trash broke into his garage and vandalized the vintage pickup.
These pieces of human garbage decided to vent their pent up aggression by cutting up the wiring on the truck, tagging it with white paint and busting some windows. After spending ten years on the truck Paradise is devastated by the destruction of his once beautiful pickup.
Autoholics added a video clip from Pulp Fiction starring none other than Mr. Vincent Vega; of course this clip is not safe for work, but it makes one think about catching a vandal in the act and what would be an appropriate action. Mr. Paradise told cfnews13.com that he would not repair the truck because he could face the damage. This sense of violation and blatant lack of respect for Paradise’s hard work is painful for any automotive enthusiast.
Imagine the horror if this was your 82-year-old grandfather or even your cousin? Perhaps the old west’s treatment of horse thieves should be applied to vandals like the ones responsible for the destruction of the once beautiful ’42 pickup. Hernando County Sheriff’s are asking for anyone with information on the destruction of Paradise’s pickup to please contact their office.
