This video, produced by Urban Hillbilly Action Videos, from last year’s Mid America Street Rod Nationals in Springfield, Missouri, shows what fans can typically see at an NSRA Street Rod Event.
This weekend the National Street Rod Association rolls into the Southwest for an event in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the 33rd NSRA Southwest Street Rod Nationals. Oklahoma is still OK when it comes to hosting national show and shine events with street rods and hot rods from 1986 and earlier.
You don’t even have to have a street rod to attend, everyone is welcome to attend the event. The NSRA team says, bring the whole family for a spectacular day at the State Fair Park. Spectator gate hours will be Friday, April 8th and Saturday, April 9th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 10th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Spectator admission for the event is $15.00 for 13 years and older, $6.00 for children (6 – 12 years old) with children under five free when accompanied by an adult. A special discounted $13.00 admission is available for military personnel with proper military Identification, NSRA members with their current membership card or anyone 60 years of age and older.
Although everyone will enjoy the spectacular vehicles as well as the vehicles’ owners there are other activities the family will enjoy. These are a few activities that spectators will be able to enjoy: the Commercial Exhibitors that includes manufacturer displays representing leading automotive specialty and aftermarket suppliers, the Swap Meet which adds to the experience and helps the enthusiast find these “one of a kind” parts, and a Women’s World (exhibitors with items that will interest women as well as men and children).
Spectators will be treated to the sights and sounds of some of the best constructed, most beautiful vintage automobiles ever to gather in one place.
Vehicles will be driven from all parts of the United States to make this a truly unique gathering of vintage automobiles featuring nearly every make, model and style. This event includes all vehicles from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and through 1986, adding to the automotive excitement created by the street rods.
