For the 21st year in a row, Concord, North Carolina is being invaded by the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association. More than 3,000 vintage cars, trucks, customs, hot rods and street rods will be lining up at the Charlotte Motor Speedway October 24-26, 2014 for the Southeast Nationals.
All the amazing Goodguys regular features will be accounted for. All American Sunday, where any domestic car or truck can compete, as well as the Goodguys Autocross, where participants will pit their hot rod up against the clock and other racers for top bragging rights of the track. There will be live music, a Model and Pedal Car Show and kids events like the Revel Model Car Make n’ Take and PPG Kids Coloring Contest. Vendors and manufacturers will have products and vehicles on display and several top awards will be given out to amazing cars.
The event will also have some extra events that will surely pack the Speedway. The Ives Brothers Wall of Death will be set up for a full Motorcycle Stunt Show and the Penzoil Theatre is featuring “Breaking Barriers”, a documentary hosted by Tim McGraw on man’s pursuit of speed through the years. The documentary has no additional cost and will be screened throughout the weekend.
Several cruises and parties will be happening through the weekend as well. On Thursday, a Poker Run will take participants to NASCAR shops, Friday has a T.G.I.F. party at Detroit Speed, Saturday and Sunday will both have a Cruise Under The Lights on the speedway track.
