Hear, hear, good citizens! The Goodguys 32nd Annual Get-Together is scheduled to take place next weekend, the 29th and 30th, at the beautiful Alameda County Fairgrounds in sunny Pleasanton, California.
Thousands of cars and people will be in attendance with well over 3,000 automobiles registered to appear. Side events are varied and all-inclusive to spectators. In typical Goodguys fashion, these national events offer no shortage in activities for friends and everyone in the family.
One of these will be the fun and furious Autocross section, which will pit street rods, trucks, and street machines against one another in separate classes. The races are conducted like a classic time trial contest.
With prizes at stake and V8 powered classics churning their tires, it’s sure to be a sideshow that will draw in lots of attention. Look for it to happen on Saturday, 8:00 a.m.-noon and 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 8:00 a.m.-noon.
Swap meets are a popular fixture at all Goodguys shows and this one should prove no different. Rare classic parts, memorabilia, or even cars can be found at these meets. It is definitely a great way to buy, sell, and barter all sorts of things auto related.
Meanwhile, the AutoTrader Classics Cars4Sale Corral has cars and trucks just waiting for you to admire and wet the palette. Restore a vehicle, add to a collection, or just do some window shopping–a Goodguys swap meet is not one to miss.
These shows are also a great way to spend an afternoon with the kids. Free entertainment is provided for children, such as the Revell Model Car Make n’ Take, PPG Kids Coloring Contests, and more.
Admission is easily affordable too, $17 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12, and free of charge for the little tykes. Parking is $8.
