It is that time of year again, kids! The 63^rd Annual Meguiars Autorama presented by O’Reilly Auto kicks off on Friday, March 6th and goes on through Sunday, March 8th. Located at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan, this year is sure to be another amazing show.

The events and special appearances are stacked. Gene Winfield’s Chop Shop demonstrations will continue through the entire weeked for a unique sneak peek at how the legend does his craft. The cars from Fast and Furious movie franchise will be on display, including the 1995 Ecplise from the first movie and the 1970 Charger from the fourth. You’ll also need to be sure to check out the “Miss Autorama” Pin Up Girl Contest on Saturday.

Possibly the biggest event of the show will be the Ridler’s Ball Cocktail Reception where the Pirelli Great 8 Ridler Award Finalists will be announced. Each of the amazing 8 finalists will be contending for the 51^st Annual Ridler Award. Many other top awards are given out such as the The Autorama Preservation Award.

Big name special guests will be on hand at various times throughout the weekend. Richard Rawlings from Gas Monkey Garage and “Fast N’ Loud” will be available both Friday and Saturday, WWE Superstar Big Show and Danny “The Count” Koker, and Kevin Mack from The History Channel’s “Counting Cars” will all be signing autographs and taking pictures.

Before the show gets started on Friday, make sure to show up early to check out the “Pure Hell” Flame Burn-out Demo out in front of the convention center. The snow is starting to thaw and the hot rods are getting uncovered. Kick off your show season right, get to the Detroit Autorama!
