As the heat of the summer fades away, many car shows also go. Luckily, central California still has a bit of warmth during the days so we can squeeze in another show before it’s time to tuck away our hot rods.
This week-end, October 18th, 2014 at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds, approximately 200 vintage cars, trucks, hot rods, muscle cars, vintage European imports, and so much more will be lining up to compete for top awards at the “Biggest Show in the Sierras.” Located just outside Yosemite National Park, Mariposa Yosemite Hot Rod and Custom Car Show is the place to be this weekend.
Napa Auto Parts, a big sponsor of the show, will have their largest tool truck in the show. The Napa “Rockin’ Tool Truck” will be on hand for attendees to get a hands on feel for the company’s tools. The NAPA Foose Truck from the show Overhaulin’ and the NAPA Race Bike built on American Choppers will be on display. NAPA will host a welding station, diagnostics center, and automotive equipment demos.
On top of the amazing cars and awesome events hosted by NAPA, Cherielynn Westrich from Overhaulin’ and The Rentals will be the Grand Marshal and Trophy Presenter. 50 awards will be handed out for Best in Class, People’s Choice, Best Engine, and more.
This Friday before the show, in downtown Mariposa, an organized cruise will kick off the festivities. The street will be shut down with professional photographers on hand so you can get some amazing pictures of your car in front of historic buildings. Be sure to clear your schedule and get your car out to Yosemite for this amazing annual event. For more info, head on over to www.mariposacarshow.com.
