Factory Five Racing, the replica car kit manufacturer, recently took part in Speed Channel’s Car Warriors cable TV show where two teams built a couple of replica ’33 Hot Rods in side by side action, with a 48 hour time limit. At the same time, MuscleCar TV performed a side by side comparison of an original 427 AC Cobra to the Factory Five MK4 modern roadster in an all out performance shootout. To celebrate the appearance on these shows, Factory Five is making 10 kits available at a special price.
The Car Warriors Specials
In the Car Warriors program, the two teams were set up as an East Coast “Speed Machine” team versus the West Coast “Salty Dogs” Team during the replica ’33 Hot Rod build. In the end, the East Coast team narrowly beat the West Coast team with the two cars that were built as dramatic as they were different. As a result, the Factory Five crew has put together an East Coast and a West Coast deal to help you build your own ’33 Hot Rod.
The East Coast “Speed Machine” deal features a 3-link suspension upgrade, normally valued at $699, rear exit exhaust, valued at $599, and your choice of a hard top discount or full fender credit which is valued at $1,299. The total savings for this package is $2,597.
The West Coast “Salty Dogs” deal features a 3-link suspension upgrade, normally valued at $699, a tilt wheel upgrade, valued at $399, leather seat upgrade, valued at $499 and hot rod soft top or full fender upgrade which is valued at $1,000. Total savings for this package comes in at the same discount as the East Coast Package, $2,597.
The MuscleCar TV MK4 Special
MuscleCar TV hosts Rick Bacon and Tommy Boshers ran the Factory Five Mk4 against an original 427 and the resulting episode was exciting and fun to watch. Factory Five Racing has put together two deals for customers that reflect Rick and Tommy’s special personalities that the Factory Five crew got know while filming the show. Rick’s deal caters to the high-end complete kit and Tommy’s deal is focused on the working man’s base kit.
Rick’s complete MK4 Roadster Special features total savings of $2,093 through stainless steel side exhaust ($599), chrome bumpers ($695), FFR Halibrand style wheel credit ($700) and wind wings ($99). Tommy’s base MK4 Roadster Special offers a total savings of $2,397 through a deluxe 3-Link Suspension Upgrade ($1,399), stainless steel side exhaust ($599), and front lower control arms ($399).
