It’s always good news to hear about a new hire, especially when it brings in experience and talent that’s been cultivated over a number of years. As a matter of fact, we just got news of Ron Skyrme’s new job at Flaming River, where he’ll be heading up Business Development.

Skyrme is an industry veteran, packing more than thirty years of experience under his belt, and comes ready for a challenge. Per the press release, his new duties will entail “calling on customers and representing Flaming River at industry shows and events primarily west of the Mississippi River.”

To get a better sense of where and how the man started, the foundations lay in the early 1970s. It was then that Skyrme was plying his trade in the San Francisco Bay area, where he owned and operated a paint and striping shop in his early twenties. Toward the mid-1970s, Skyrme was making the rounds at trade shows and events, including SEMA, always eager to find new friends and hone his craft.

The man’s most recent profession, a 24-year career at DuPont USA, ended with him as a Technical Advisor in the Automotive Finishes Division. One of his most notable achievements while there was the development of the Hot Hues products, a line of finishes that boasted 24 striking colors well-suited for hot rods. “Flaming River is excited to have Ron, and his expertise and extensive knowledge of our industry, join our team,” said Jeanette Ladina, President of Flaming River.
