This weekend will mark the event’s fifth car show. It was originally held in Palm Springs at the Caliente Tropics. Oasis has since moved to its new home at San Diego, California’s Hanalei Hotel to accommodate a growing attendance which has steadily increased each year.
Tiki Oasis is a four day event starting Thursday, August 15th running until Sunday, August 18th. The event offers several ticket packages that cater to all preferences and schedules. You can find a complete breakdown of pricing and info ranging from a Deluxe Cocktail VIP Pass to a Sunday Evening Showcase One Day Pass.
There’s sure to be no shortage of beautiful retro cars, many with nods to the Pacific Islands, throughout the weekend. You’ll be able to peruse the grounds and snap shots with a Kona Lager or Mai Tai in-hand while enjoying the sounds of what the event planners are calling, “an exploration of Hawaiian influences on American music through Hulabilly, an American music style derived from the blending of Rockabilly and Haole Hawaiian music.”
The following is a schedule for the two-day car show during the event. Saturday, August 18th cars will be exhibited from the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Crown Plaza. Sunday’s will be in the same location between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m..
Some of the cars that will be making an appearance at this year’s Tiki Oasis are the 1964 Pontiac Bonneville Safari Wagon Nudie Cohn Mobile, 1975 Cadillac El Dorado Nudie Cohn Mobile, a 1951 Ford Custom Sedan, the 1919 Von Zipper Red Baron Tribute Hot Rod, a 1941 Chevrolet C.O.E. Truck, and a 1950 Ford Custom Coupe.
