Whether you’re into hot rods, classics, customs or pro-touring greats, nothing sets the scene for a fantastic automotive event like the right set of tunes. That’s why the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association is asking for your help to choose the music playlist for this year’s Goodguys events. From classic hits, to current chart toppers, now is your chance to tell Goodguys what you want to hear while browsing through rows of classic automotive creations.
Keen on hits of the 50s and 60s, rock from the 70s and 80s and even the best music from the modern era, Goodguys is looking for your suggestions for the background tunes for their national events this year. The songs chosen will be played at Goodguys events across the country as the hot rod and custom kings kick off their 30th anniversary tour of over 20 events in 2013.
To get in on the fun, all you have to do is send your musical suggestions to [email protected]. Make sure to explain what songs (including the artists that sing them) you’d like to hear at your local Goodguys event, and steer clear of classical, hip hop and rap suggestions. Because let’s face it, there are just certain genres of music that don’t mesh well with the hot rod and custom car scenes.
You can suggest as many songs as you’d like and as often as you’d like. Once the Goodguys team acquires enough suggestions, they will deliberate and come up with the official 2013 playlist to be heard at events nation wide.
While there’s probably some songs you’d rather not hear over the at-event airwaves at Goodguys shows, you can’t complain unless you make your own excellent suggestions. So make sure you send in your latest and greatest song picks, and give us all a bit extra pep for our trips to Goodguys’ events. Anyone up for a bit of “Little Deuce Coupe” by The Beach Boys?
