This coming weekend is set to be a blast in Loveland, Colorado. Not only is the weather supposed to be stereotypically gorgeous for the area, the weekend will also bring one of the biggest hot rod and custom shows in the country to town. That’s right, it’s time for the 16th Goodguys Colorado Nationals!
As you may have guessed, we’ll be out there all weekend again this year, bringing you the best from the Centennial State, starting tomorrow night with the Goodguys Colorado Nationals Kick Off Party at Pinkee’s Rod Shop. Stay tuned because you’re not going to want to miss this massive event taking place at nearly a mile high above sea level!
The Goodguys Colorado Nationals weekend kicks off on Thursday June 6th at the Goodguys Kick Off Party, hosted by Eric Peratt and the crew at Windsor’s own Pinkee’s Rod Shop. Just like in years past, the event is set to be one heck of a party with local Nordy’s BBQ catering and music by Dixie Leadfoot and the Chrome Struts joining the festivities.
Locals and event-attendees alike are welcome at the free party starting at 4p.m and running through 8p.m. Thursday night.
Hot Rod enthusiasts will also have a chance to talk to the man behind this year’s Colorado Nationals Builder’s Choice Awards at the event, Mr. Peratt.
Then on Friday June 7th, the festivities at The Ranch Events Complex in Loveland kick off at 8a.m. This year’s relaxed “tail gate” attitude surrounding the show is set to bring in even more enthusiasts as Goodguys presents their Show ‘n Shine, AutoCross competition, swap meet and car corral, model car show, Vender’s Alley and the new Nitro Thunderfest, featuring vintage Top Fuel dragsters.
The Colorado Nationals and Goodguys 30th anniversary festivities run through Sunday June 9th, finishing off the weekend with the All American Get Together open to all American-made or powered makes and models.
The 16th Goodguys Colorado Nationals is sure to be a blast and we can’t wait to be fully engrossed by the mile-high hot rodding culture!
