The American muscle car has been a staple for automotive enthusiasts in the States since the cars started making their way onto dealers’ lots some 45 years ago. But, we aren’t the only ones who enjoy the muscle cars of yesteryear. In fact, the American muscle car is enjoyed continents away in the land down under, according to Autoholics, and they have pictures to prove it.
Every year the Aussie-based 60s American Muscle Car Club pays tribute to the beloved American muscle cars in their American Muscle Car Show. Held at the Manhattan Hotel in Ringwood, Australia (isn’t that fitting?), the show is packed full of custom rides and even more American car enthusiasts.
As per the title of the show, the majority of vehicles shown are classic muscle cars, but some enthusiasts bring out hot rods, modern muscle cars and even exotics.
With the fantastic weather at this year’s event, Autoholics’ writer Greg Forster was able to capture some incredible shots, as you can see here, of the unique cars that were in attendance. Based on the photos alone, we think the American Muscle Car Show in Australia would definitely be worth checking out for any avid muscle car fan looking to take their enthusiasm overseas.
Hats go off to Forster for some amazing photography of the Australian car show. For more photos of the event, be sure to check out Forster’s photo gallery on his blog here.
