Killer Kustom 1959 Impala Boasts Supercharged LS9 Motivation

headlightsA few years ago, Timeless Kustoms in Camarillo, California, started working on a 1959 Chevrolet Impala. In the early statges, Mohsen Rabiee from Thousand Oaks, California, couldn’t help but want this unique masterpiece. Being it was also the same year he was born, Mohsen decided to purchase it from Timeless Kustoms, consisting of Jason Pecikonis and his team. Mohsen asked Jason if he could finish is as an everyday driver. Jason decided to keep the chassis fairly stock, adding an LS3 engine, and laying another color.

With the old saying, great minds think alike, Mohsen and Jason decided to nix the LS3 and go with a supercharged Gen IV LS9. The upgrade in engine would require an upgrade in chassis, brakes and transmission that could hold up to all the power. They both felt the upgrades were worth it and the Impala received a potent Corvette ZR1 style 6.2.  (Keep reading, it gets better.)

hoodTaking a moment to drool, the LS9 features a E67 ECU and fly-by-wire throttle body control. Lingenfelter indirectly touched this beast when the performance package was added. A custom four-inch intake tube and custom fabricated headers made by Timeless with Pypes Race Pro mufflers added to the perfection. The transmission to hold all of this is a Tremec TR6060 six speed. The Detroit locker in the rear with a 3.73:1 has a four-inch driveshaft made by Coast Driveline.

The chassis was replaced with an Art Morrison with a power rack and four link in the rear, QA1 double adjustable shocks, Firestone airbags, antiroll bars, and panhard bars front and rear. Brembo 15.5 inch carbon ceramic discs with six-piston calipers, and a Wilwood master cylinder and proportioning valve helps complete the braking. Rear tubs were fabricated to fit 335/30R-19 Nitto tires, even the front are 285/35-19s are quite monstrous. The wheels chosen were 19×13 and 19×11 Boze V-12 model from the ZE series.

Timeless mixed and sprayed the custom PPG paint because Mohsen did not want basic. The black trim, door handles and top makes this look lean and mean with a wide load rear. Mohsen wanted captain seats in the front and rear made from cut-down GTO bucket seats by Allen Wray of Conejo Upholstery in Thousand Oaks, black leather was the cover of choice. Vintage Air A/C control and vents were the choice which required a little dash modification. Instrument pods filled with Auto Meter Gauges. The B&M shifter is surrounded by a custom console going to the package tray area and navigation system.

entire interior frontThe Billet Specialties is being held up with an ididit colum. Follow the column down to the floor board and you will find custom fabricated pedals also made by Timeless. JL Audio speakers and Memphis car audio subwoofer helps the Pioneer sound system jam out.

Even with the modifications and massive engine, this is still an everyday driver. Timeless Kustoms has given the chance for someone else to own this masterpiece. It was posted it on eBay but only for a short time. Interested buyers still have a chance to own this piece of gorgeousness by contacting Timeless Kustoms directly, and speaking with Bill.
