Mecum Auctions will be heading to Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on November 12th through November 14th. Mecum brings some of the finest hot rods and customs to the auction block and the Anaheim event will feature over 750 collector cars including “Street Rodder” magazine’s “Road Tour Collection.”
Included in the “Road Tour Collection” are a 1955 Chevy 210, a 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe, a 1953 Cadillac Eldorado convertible, and 1952 Chevy Bel Air. Along with this collection, the Mecum will also auction off the Mike Doyle collection that includes a 1929 Ford Dirt Track Racer and his very last motorcycle. Along with these standout cars, there will be plenty of hot rods, resto mods, muscle cars, and more for one’s bidding pleasure.
Yellow flames grace the front end of the ’55 Chevy 210, which was built by Woody’s Hot Rodz and is powered by 474 cubic inch Shaver Specialties engine. This 2011 Road Tour offering features modern conveniences, such as a Vintage Air system to accompany the classic elements of the ’55 Chevrolet.
This car exemplifies the concept of Pro Touring builds and should have a substantial number of bids when it graces the stage. Just as classic elements were blended with modern creature comforts in the ’55 Chevy, the ’40 Ford Deluxe Coupe was not exempt from a series of upgrades and enhancements.
This beautiful ride is powered by a modern 5.0 Coyote Engine with all sorts of performance upgrades. Some may frown upon the use of the 4R70W, but the automatic transmission makes life so much easier when you are sitting on Southern California freeways.
