SO-CAL’s Step-Boxed ’32 frames are all new. Their frames use American Stamping rails not only for strength but for authenticity, too. Frames are also numbered and tagged and include many features.
For starters, the boxing plates are unground fillet welds for additional strength. SO-CAL has also recessed them for additional clearance on the brake and fuel lines, exhaust systems, power cables, and even the steering components. A “swept C” in the rear minimizes the stress of the cut and spreads the load over a greater area. Also included are a universal transmission mount, which will accommodate the TH350, TH400, 700R4, and even 4-, 5-, and 6-speed manuals. Taking it a step further, the front cross member is angled at 7-degrees for correct caster.
Not stopping there, the SO-CAL Step-Boxed frame includes the brake proportioning valve mounting pad, mounts, front Panhard bar bracket, master cylinder bracket, brake pedal mount, cross members, steering box mount, front brake line tabs, and the rear radius rod tabs.
