ARP Offers New Premium Head Stud Kits for the Ford Flathead Engine

Automotive Racing Products is now offering premium head stud kits for the famous Ford Flathead. Get bolts that are made from polished stainless steel and studs made from premium grade chrome moly to have your engine looking its best while preventing head gasket failure.

Official Release:

For many years now, industry-leading fastener manufacturer ARP has quietly set about engineering and building a variety of high performance fasteners for the legendary Ford “flathead” engine. But for the most part this has been somewhat of a “secret” as they’ve not been listed in the firm’s catalog.

ARP’s latest creation for the venerable flat-motor is a premium quality head stud kit that features solid stainless steel “acorn” nuts that are polished and totally overshadow the stamped or molded plastic nut covers that can flake, peel or rust.

The studs are manufactured from premium grade 8740 chrome moly steel and heat treated to a nominal tensile strength of 200,000 psi, which provides ample clamping force to prevent head gasket failure—even in supercharged applications. Additionally, the studs are hex-broached to make for easy installation or removal.

As with all ARP fasteners, they are totally manufactured in-house (forging, heat-treating, machining and finishing) to stringent AS9100 and ISO-9001 quality control standards.

Designed for compatibility with Edelbrock finned aluminum heads, p/n 154-4101 fits 1938-48 engines and p/n 154-4102 is for 1949-53 flathead V-8s. For additional information on this and other ARP products not listed in the catalog call 800-826-3045
