Art Morrison has introduced a new Multilink IRS package that can either be ordered as part of the GT Sport chassis, or as an independent unit thanks to its unique “cradle” design. Featuring a Strange Engineering S60 center section with a 9 ½ gear ring, the Art Morrison MultiLink IRS system is designed to handle rides with lots of power and plenty of traction. With improved flexibility over traditional solid rear axles and much better handling dynamics, an IRS is the way to go if you’re looking to get into the Pro Touring or track scenes. Available gear ratios range from a street-friendly 3:54:1 to a drag raceable 5.:13, but if you’re more concerned with bigger brakes than bigger engines, worry not. The compact package of the Art Morrison Multilink IRS can handle brake rotors as large as 14.4-inches, and track widths of 55.5, 57.5, 59.5, and 61.5 inches are also available.
Official Release:
Art Morrison Enterprises has introduced a highly sophisticated and durable Multilink IRS that can be ordered as an option on the firm’s popular GT Sport chassis or installed in a wide variety of vehicles thanks to its unique “cradle” design. The Morrison Multilink IRS shares a design lineage with a number of the world’s fastest exotic cars, while it features a rugged Strange Engineering S60 center section (9-1/2″ diameter ring gear) and can handle substantial horsepower. It provides important handling and ride benefits over older fixed control arm type IRS setups and offers improved wheel adjustability. With its tracking ability, the Multilink IRS handles corners like the car is on rails. It has been described by highly-credentialed test drivers as “The best suspension on the market.” Available gear ratios range from 3.54 to 5.13, and the compact “package” design of the AME Multilink IRS allows it to accommodate brake systems with rotors to 14.4″ in diameter. It is available in track widths of 55.5″, 57.5″, 59.5″ and 61.5″ (wheel mounting surface-to-surface width).
