Cadillac’s very cool 500 power plant offered from 68-71 was a mainstay for the rodding community back when and has recently seen a resurgence in popularity. Sought after by street and show builders the engine is a monster in size and perfect canvas for all sorts of modifications and custom accessories. Topping that list of ad-ons was the BDS supercharger and with renewed interest BDS has brought it back in an easily installed, all in-one kit. Shown here the unit is designed specifically for this popular application and features a fully polished Stage 1 8-71 BDS blower.
Additionally the kits include pa polished intake, billet snout, 3” billet idler, 4140 crank hub, billet V-groove pulley, ½” pitch belt and pulleys, drive spacers, all grade 8 hardware and complete drive kit. Most importantly, unlike other many other blowers the BDS BK-8001 500 Cadillac 871 Stage 1 Blower Kit is constructed using a 100% new parts; NEW cast case, w/billet rotors & end plates, new gears, bearings and hardware. Suggested retail for the complete BK-8001 kit is $5,595.00. Available options include Billet Case, Serpentine drive, 8mm drive and 2-3 groove pulleys. Blower upgrades stage 2, 3 and 4.
