Anyone who’s restored a Tri-Five Chevy with severe rust issues knows that rebuilding the upper A-pillar/dogleg area is a metal worker’s challenge because replacement panels/pieces for this area have been unavailable.
Until now. Real Deal Steel introduces all new-steel repair kits for all 1955-1957 Chevy body styles. The pieces also fit 1955-1957 Pontiac Catalina and Safari models.
These kits will repair any and all rust damage in the upper A-pillar including the upper hinge area, the famous-for-rusting upper dogleg and the entire inner and outer windshield post. These high-quality steel panels allow you to repair the entire windshield pillar and hinge post, from just below the upper hinge to the top of the pillar.
Five component pieces make installation easier.
Real Deal Steel produces all-steel reproduction bodies for American Classics from the Forties, Fifties and Sixties: 1940 Ford five-window coupes, 1955-1957 Chevys, 1967-1969 Camaros and Firebirds and 1966-1967 Chevy II Nova two-door hardtops. Ford bodies are licensed by Ford Motor Co. and Chevrolet bodies are licensed by GM.
The bodies are assembled in Sanford, FL, from high quality steel structural components to exact factory specifications on Real Deal Steel’s proprietary assembly fixtures that guarantee exact factory-spec fit every time.
All structural and skin assembly utilizes water-cooled 220V resistance spot welders – the same technology used in much-larger automotive assembly plants. Real Deal Steel generally uses 25 percent more spot welds than original to give the bodies added strength.
In addition to factory-original bodies, Real Deal Steel also offers modification options such as customized firewalls and mini-tub wheel housings, in addition to a wide selection of individual steel panels for American classics.
