With the “Barn Craze” movement in full swing, you’d think all the old C1’s would have been smoked out of their holes by now. Especially since they only made 3,640 ’54s.

When Barn Finds reader Bill M. alerted the publication to the upcoming Cabin Fever Auctions, we were keen to get to the bottom of the story. Parked in 1964 and currently located in Pennsylvania, the car is a treat for Vette fans and should be required viewing for any NCRS judge.

It was only 10 years old when it was parked and looks to be very original. The top, side windows, and trim appear to be straight from St. Louis and are amazing as this time capsule car is all that’s left of the factory and the handiwork of men and women that built these old Vettes.

Looking closer we see that the car has one of the popular performance upgrades of its day which features a multi-carb intake manifold with two Rochester carburetors, topped off with chrome louvered air cleaners. The auction descriptions lists the Corvette as also having a “Scotts” aftermarket fiberglass hardtop. After looking at the cloth top and the clip-on side windows, we know why the former owner would want something more sturdy.

UPDATE:  Looks like this car sold for $52,000 with the aftermarket fiberglass top selling for $1,000 separately. The real question here is what do you do with this car? Would you leave it intact as a patina rich survivor or return it to restored Polo White glory? Discuss.
