Although many think that the days of cruisin’ Paso are long gone, this year the Santa Maria West Coast Cruisin’ Nationals show put on by West Coast Kustoms has regained some of it’s former glory with cruisin’ the boulevard lasting through the night. It was such an amazing sight to see that much classic iron cruisin’ the strip together in harmony!

Having been to this show for quite a few years and reminiscing some of the old Paso days when we piled 7 guys into a sold out hotel room just to hang out on the corner in a lawn chair and watch the show drive right by you. Although those days are past, the Santa Maria fairgrounds now hosts more than 1,000 of the West Coast’s coolest customs, traditionals, and rods all in one place. Seeing the sheer number of badass rides parked row after row makes it easy to see why some expansion and growth has been necessary.

We had a chance to catch up with Rob Macdonald and his amazingly customized 1960 Chev Wagon (pictured here). With a fully detailed 409 under the hood, this thing screams bitchin’ and found itself in front of our cameras, so stay tuned for the full feature here on Rod Authority soon!

The Speed Hunter gents snapped some killer shots at the show grounds, which included hundreds of some of the most heavily modified customs all the way down to full-resto classics. With clubs in attendance like the Locos Banditos Shifters, the Beatniks, and more with many famous custom builders and celebrities alike, you’re sure to run into someone or something worth taking a picture of!

If you are on the west coast or anywhere for that matter, this is definitely one of those shows that we would highly recommend makes it’s way onto your bucket list. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
