This weekend is a huge annual highlight for the hot rod enthusiasts, drawing fans and builder worldwide to Detroit, home of American iron. The Detroit Autorama is best known as the event that is home to the Don Ridler Memorial Award. Presented to the “best in show” at each year’s event, and has been won by many well-noted car designers and builders, such as Bobby Alloway, Alan Johnson, and Troy Trepanier.
Being able to listen to these past winners of the sport’s top award would be a thrill and fortunately for anyone that will be at the show, it is a possibility. In addition to these renowned builders, expert builder Roy Brizio, and industry expert Kyle Tucker will appear at a builder’s round table with moderator Rick Love.
The event is sponsored by SEMA’s Hot Rod Industry Alliance, and will take place on Saturday, February 25, at 1:00 P.M. in room 321. Audience members will be given the opportunity to ask these elite builders questions about what it takes to become a builder in today’s world.
This is one of the many exciting events that will be happening this weekend at the Detroit Autorama.
