You can never tell what you are going to see at the Grand National Roadster Show, but you can be certain that it is going to be magnificent. We stumbled upon a very clean looking 1960 Caddy in one of the buildings displaying the customs. Sadly, no one was around to give us more details on this beauty, but we could tell that work was some of the best as it was credited to Squeeg’s Kustoms.
Squeeg’s Kustoms, a real powerhouse builder in the southwest, is renown for their body and paint work. Squeeg Jerger cut his teeth in the hey day when Hot Rod magazine was setting trends off the work of paint squirters like Squeeg. It’s fifty years later and a new generation of Jerger is at the helm, but the same award winning work is coming from the Chandler, Arizona, shop.
The Squeeg team is known for creating stylish builds that carry traditional beauty of body lines, balance, and color. This ’60 Cadillac is a prime example of that. It appears to be an Eldorado that would have been originally equipped with a 390ci V8.The drivetrain has been converted to a 376ci LS3 that reportedly pipes out 525 horsepower to the 4L70E four-speed tranny. This LS swap brings a modern touch to the vintage beast.
With paint from PPG, Chrome work by Ogden Chrome, and Matt Tomb’s fender skits, the exterior of this caddy is as sleek and smooth as they come. The chassis work is credited to Art Morrison and Kugel Komponents with Accuair suspension. Curtis Speed Wheels line of Mike Curtis wheels were used on this build. The simple, but still very detailed interior was done by Gabe’s Custom Upholstery.
We doubt this is the last time we see this cruising machine so when you are at a car show on the southwest circuit, keep your eyes out for this sweet-looking slammed Caddy.
