Once upon a time, when America valued speed and performance above all else in their daily drivers Holley Performance was a household name.
Known for their performance-focused carburetors, Holley has been making carbs for hot rodders and major OEM’s alike since 1904. And for the past ten decades, they’ve hosted an annual gathering of gearheads called the Hot Rod Reunion.
Now times have changed, but thankfully Holley has NOT! Holley tracked down one of their most loyal fans, Bill Meadows, who has attended nine of the last ten Holley Hot Rod Reunions, to ask him what brings him back year after year.
And the way he tells us, makes us want to pack our bags and head to Bowling Green tomorrow!
Bill talks a lot about the diversity of the cars and the people, and mostly how it is about coming together to enjoy each other’s company alongside some really cool cars and customs. Everybody brings something they’re proud of to the show and Bill is no different.

Rocking a 1961 Ford F-100 pickup with a Chevy motor and a whole lot of modern creature comforts, Bill is right at home at the Hot Rod Reunion. Bill saved it from a salvage yard, and doing most of the work himself, Bill tore into the truck with his buddy. A year later, they have this awesome cruiser to show for it.
This is definitely a cool video from Holley TV, and Bill’s truck is pretty damn cool too. Make sure you check the whole video to get all the details on this finely-tuned truck, and for some further entertainment makes sure to watch the entire clip to hear Bill’s take on “bling”.
