Video: “Orange Spy” ’65 Impala Shattering Stereotypes of the Past

There used to be a time when owning a lowered, custom classic was stereotyped with living in a rough neighborhood, coming from a minority background or just being a hoodlum. Thankfully, those days have come and gone and classic cars have become more of a sought-after collectors item by automotive enthusiasts young and old. They may be custom, stock, lowered, clad in chrome, worth thousands or only pennies, but one thing stands true of these wonderful cars of the past- they are classics and they make being a gearhead fun.

This artisitc video feature we found on Vimeo, [2] illustrates exactly that. A customized ‘65 Chevy Impala shows exactly how its done. In the 70s, a car like this would’ve been looked down upon by a lot of people, but now, it represents what can be achieved with enough passion, time and money.

Take a look at the impressive ride above. Known as, “Orange Spy,” the Impala Caprice doesn’t show a bit of its age. Sporting an Edelbrock-equipped 283ci. Turbo Fire engine, the car is pristine with gorgeous Orange paint, plenty of chrome and Gino wheels. It’s obvious that a lot of time, effort and cash was put into creating this impressive car.

We all have our own tastes in cars, but we doubt that there is a soul out there that can’t respect this pristine classic. It is definitely magazine-cover worthy and we can’t wait to see more of it in the future. Enjoy the ride!

The Impala is so pristine and the artistic approach of the video was done well, the car seems like it could be a dream rather than reality.
