Video: RideTech ’33 Hits the Optima Challenge

The boys over at RideTech [1] sure aren’t shy about getting out and road racing their new ’33 Ford build every chance they get; after all, that’s exactly what they built it for! When you’re one of the leading suspension manufacturers in the automotive aftermarket, it doesn’t hurt to clock some miles on new designs and new products. And that’s exactly what RideTech is all about – real world performance that is rigorously tested.

At the end of this year’s Power Tour they hit the Optima Face-off challenge and with this only being their third competition with the fresh build, Bret Voelkel President of RideTech, had some great runs and placed near the top of the ladder.

[3]Fresh ground-up builds like this are always both fun and challenging, as there are always plenty of kinks to work through with plenty of real world testing.

But of course, the crew at RideTech have been around the block when it comes to suspension, performance, and autocross, so this certainly wasn’t their first rodeo.

In fact, after only their third real competition they assure us that this ’33 is just about dialed in so we’re definitely looking forward to their next few runs to see it in tuned and hitting them S-curves. It’s always a good show whether or not the cones go flying, but race proven suspension is here to stay so try and keep up if you can.
