Our friends over at Hot Rod Dirty’s bring us two custom classics for sale that we simply can’t make a decision over. Of the two for sale, which would you choose: a bagged 1967 Chevy C10 truck or a slammed 1964 Ford F100.
Coaltrain
All black and all business, both of these trucks have been tastefully customized and are a treat to our eyes. The slammed ’67 Chevy C10, named Coaltrain, is truly a black beauty.
Sitting on air ride suspension, this C10 is clean inside and out. The body is as straight as an arrow, painted in deep black patina paint.
The license plate mount tucks underneath the bed, giving it a low-key, concealed look. Running on an original 283 cubic-inch SBC V8 engine, power meets the pavement with a four-speed manual transmission.
As beautiful as Coaltrain is, this C10 has a healthy exhaust note and a great sounding cam. Complete with vintage Chevy valve covers, air cleaner and front power disc brakes, Coaltrain is built to drive on today’s roads as well.
With a truck that lays on the rocker and four corner adjustability, you can drive this truck at any height you please at the hit of a switch. Inside of Coaltrain, this C10 is classy and updated to modern times.
A brand new plush black interior, custom Black Widow shift knob, a restored steering wheel, and a CD player give the driver enough to get through long drives if deemed necessary. We like what we see and with Coaltrain currently being auctioned on eBay, you shouldn’t hesitate to make a bid if this suits your tastes in trucks. Simple but yet so clean, Coaltrain’s minimalist design will please those who appreciate its stance.
Marie Laveau
Onto the second truck, this dumped ’64 Ford F100 is just as clean as Coaltrain. Given the name Marie Laveau, this Ford truck is named after a voodoo practitioner from New Orleans during the 1800s. Painted in a deep patina black, this truck is nothing short of spectacular.
In particular, the flat wheels with chrome center spikes give the truck a smooth, uncomplicated look. Seeing other trucks settle for deep dish or American Racing mag wheels, we appreciate this Ford truck’s simplistic design cues.
Built with a custom lift up bed, this truck exposes an air compressor, tank, and storage for Firestone bags that lay the frame on the rocker. A fresh 302 cubic-inch V8 engine, C4 automatic transmission, and Vintage Cal Custom valve covers combine to put plenty of power to ground.
An all-new interior with a brand new seat, carpet, and panels give this F100 a vintage look inside. Adding a touch of class, the F100 even has a rare zippered door storage option to complement the wood bed cover.
In the end, the choice is yours. Honestly, we’re torn between the two as both are black beauties in their own outright. Whether you’re a Chevy or Ford guy, we can’t complain about either builds here.
