The 2018 Danchuk Tri-Five Nats. Wow, Is All We Can Say!

The 2018 Danchuk Tri-Five Nationals is once again in the history books, and what an event it was. It was hard to fathom the quantity – and quality – of the cars that made the show so great. The event grounds of Bowling Green, Kentucky, were so filled to capacity, car owners were afraid to move their cars, in fear of losing their parking spot. To say it was packed is an understatement.

Whether the ’55, ’56, or ’57 Chevy car or truck is your favorite, you were sure to find one to stop you dead in your tracks. It didn’t matter whether your taste revolved around restored, patina covered, custom, gasser, Pro Touring, or Pro Street cars. It was on the grounds, and there were scads of them to check out. Maybe you’re interests lean a little more toward quarter-mile racing? Along with all of those show participants, there were even hundreds of cars melting tires on the dragstrip, each grappling to take home bragging rights and prize money. Let’s not forget the display cars that filled the numerous vendor’s booths. be it new parts or that elusive piece of trim not re-popped, if you looked hard enough through the vendor and swap meet area, you could probably build a car.

Pensacola, Florida’s Philip Reedy was the lucky winner of the gorgeous ’55 Chevy.

The highlight of the Tri-Five Nats has to be the exciting announcement of who won the giveaway car. This year, it was a stunning, black 1955 Chevy street machine built by Woody’s Hot Rodz. The car featured a retina-searing red interior by TMI Products, and parts from other top-tier companies like Classic Performance Products, Speedway Motors, Lokar, Golden Star, Danchuk, Ed Rinke Performance, Holley, and others. In the end, Philip Reedy of Pensacola, Florida, was the lucky winner of the 2018 Tri-Five Nationals Golden Star 1955 Chevrolet.
