“ISCA Pick“ Winners From the NSRA Street Rod Nationals North Event

According to a news blast from The International Show Car Association (ISCA), it’s panel of judges have now chosen their “ISCA Pick” awards for all ten NSRA events across the country. Accompanied by the sponsorship of Summit Racing, the latest round of awards have been handed out to the nation’s most deserving auto enthusiasts, with Kalamzoo, Michigan being the hotbed for the northern round of trophies.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the The ISCA, perhaps a quick crash course pertaining to what they’re all about should be in order. According to the group’s website, the entire operation is comprised of three different groups of people: “Exhibitors, who show their vehicles and compete at ISCA-sanctioned indoor events; Judges, who judge the vehicles and determine where a vehicle places in its respective class; and Producer Members, who produce the indoor custom car shows.”

Formed back in 1963 in order to serve as a sanctioning body during auto shows, the ISCA’s primary purpose is “to oversee the competition at each event, supervise the judging staff, keep track of exhibitor points, and manage the series championship.”

That said, ISCA and the National Street Rod Association (NSRA) are thrilled to announce the official selection of this year’s “ISCA Pick“ awards for the Street Rod Nationals North event. Held annually in Kalamazoo, Michigan during the earlier parts of September, one of this year’s two selections for this prestigious award is this stunning 1934 Ford owned by Mark and Angela Stewart of Moline, Illinois.

The second of the two ISCA and National Street Rod Association awards went to this red-hot Blue Oval beast, which is on a completely different end of the automotive spectrum both in pigment and purpose. Ron and Laura Baker of Zeeland, Michigan spared no expense when modifying their 1965 Ford Mustang, turning it into a track-focused fire-breather, with plenty of polished components underneath to make it show worthy as well.

Outside of rocking identical automaker underpinnings, this “ISCA Pick“ award winner couldn’t be any more different than the previous vehicle awarded alongside it, serving as further proof that the NSRA’s Street Rod Nationals, and Summit Racing have a good thing going. Both in regard to chassis diversity, and in the sort of vehicles deemed worthy of the coveted “ISCA Pick” award.
