It’s true that blondes have more fun. Check out our newest Babe of the Month, the lovely Ria Von Strudel. This pinup hails from the sunny east coast of Florida. She enjoys living a true vintage lifestyle and traveling to as many car shows as she can throughout the U.S.
So with no further ado, let’s take a peek at Rod Authority’s Babe of The Month for May 2019!

What’s your favorite classic car?
So hard to choose! But, I’ll say a ’59 Dodge Coronet..those fins!
What was the first car show you ever attended?
I come from a family of hot rodding car lovers and have been hanging around garages and attending shows (mostly in upstate New York) since I was very young. My first car show in Florida was the Indian River Rumble. It was also my very first pinup contest, and I won First place trophy girl!
What car shows would you like to attend?
I definitely would love to attend the Grand National Roadster Show next year and possibly get back for the Mooneyes Xmas party again too, that was super fun!
Tell us about yourself?
My husband and I have been friends since 1997, started dating in 2006, and we just got married last year in Vegas (by an Elvis, of course!). We live in a cute little mid-century house with our three adorable kitties and our son who is in his first year of college. We are a family of vegetarian/vegans and I enjoy preparing meals for us. When not in front of the camera or doing makeup, I’ve been keeping myself busy cutting hair at Floyd’s Barbershop.
What do you love most about your current hometown?
I do love living in Florida, it’s like living in Vacationland! It’s very laid back, the weather is always nice with beautiful blue skies and palm trees swaying. I even enjoy the rain as it never lasts very long and everything is always so lush and green here. Also, we love the theme parks . . . and, the beach is only an hour away.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would absolutely love to go to Europe. I want to see it all eventually! Castles, museums, mountains, and flowers! My grandfather was from Holland, so I for sure would love to go there!! And Germany, England, France, Switzerland, Prague and all of Italy, because I hear how beautiful it is.
Last vacation destination and what did you love most about it?
Last vacation was to Vegas for Viva Las Vegas and then drove to Palm Springs. I absolutely love it out west! The desert is so different than anything I’m used to. All those old Hollywood feels…really fabulous! Vegas is always larger than life and something to see!!! When we were in Palm Springs, we visited Elvis’ honeymoon house and stopped by Frank Sinatra’s place…it’s just stuff like that. All that gorgeous mid-century architecture and the history of it all is like a dream! We took the tramway to the top of the mountain and played in snow and then swam in our pink pool in paradise all in the same afternoon!!! So perfect!
My favorite drink is a Polynesian Pearl from Trader Sams (I think it’s the cinnamon on top that makes it so delicious!). But, I also love Pink Champagne or Miller High Life (since it’s the champagne of beers).
What’s your favorite music genre?
My favorite genre I suppose is Psychobilly…but, I also very much love Rockabilly, Surf, and Punk.
Favorite concert you’ve ever attended and where?
I think the Stray Cats playing together for the first time in forever last year at Viva was totally magical. But, I’d probably have to say my favorite show ever was probably that one Cramps show at the House Of Blues in Orlando, maybe around 2004 or so. I was right in the very front and Lux Interior held my hand for a few moments and sang to me while Ivy sneered at me…it was unforgettable!
What’s your most recent tattoo?
My most recent tattoo is on my arm. Last month, I got a little Lily of the Valley sprig; kind of a filler piece, but also inspired by a beautiful vintage wedding card I came across. Before that, I got a cowgirl on my inner calf. Found her on an old 1940s piece of flash. My husband is an amazing tattoo artist and painter, so I feel very lucky to be able to add to my collection whenever I wish.
Do your tattoos have a theme?
My tattoo theme is just American Traditional, very classic style, but sometimes I ask for pretty colors like lilac and pink and sea foam green.
Where have you been published recently?
My most recent publications have been in Retro Lovely and Beach Beauties magazine.
