One of the biggest movements within hot-rodding has been the nostalgia theme. There is so much going on surrounding the genre that has its basis in the formative years of the entire hot-rodding trend. Whether re-creating memories or simply creating your own tribute to this horsepower-hungry era, many enthusiasts have been focusing on hot rodding’s roots, shunning computer screens for screwdrivers and timing lights. The aftermarket has also embraced this passion for all things of a by-gone era, offering products that were once only found in dog-eared boxes at swap meets.
Arias Components Engineered has helped traditional hot-rodders top off their powerful creations with several different air scoops that not only carry back to those fun and carefree days of vintage horsepower, but also perform as well, or better than any of them did way back when. Their latest offering, the Viper Air Scoop, is modeled after the popular, classic “Scott Slot” fuel injector scoop of the ’60s and ’70s. A nostalgic addition to your 2 or 4-barrel carb setup, its aggressive design is sure to add style and function to your build.
The Viper Air Scoop fits any 4150-style carburetor inlet with a 5-1/8″ diameter air horn and measures 15″ L X 11 1/2″ W and is 4 3/8″ high. The Shot-peened, matte finish scoop is made in the USA from 356, heat-treated, sand-cast aluminum for an authentic race-ready look. The scoop requires one 6-3/8″ round air filter if you choose to run one, and the stud & nut for mounting are not included. The kit does include a 1-inch tall carb-to-filter adapter and necessary assembly hardware.
Arias Components Engineered offers a variety of scoops for both single- and double-carbureted engines, as well as valve covers, valley pans, and breathers to drive home that vintage vibe on your ride.
