After a very successful Scottsdale, Arizona, Spring Nationals last weekend, the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association heads toward the 6th spring Lone Star Nationals. Held at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, this weekend’s Lone Star Nationals will bring the same features that participants and fans have come to expect in a Goodguys event.
Event hours are the same as each Goodguys event in the spring tour. Starting Friday, March 11, the Texas Motor Speedway will be open at 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, March 13, the event hours go from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
Texas fans will be privileged to experience many of the same Goodguys features as the other National events, like the Goodguys Autocross, over 2,000 hot rods, customs and musclecars, vendors and exhibits, the Goodguys swap meet, and Nitro Thunderfest Dragster exhibition.
Unlike the other Goodguys events, the Lone Star Nationals will also offer a cruise around the Texas Motor Speedway track and Team Texas Stock Car Rides, and NASCAR Limo rides or 4-lap stock car rides around the track. There is an additional fee for these events.
Live music will be on display all weekend featuring the Texas Cotton Kings and the Mighty Real Band. The Goodgals Arts & Crafts Gallery, Kids Zone with free arts and crafts, games, prizes, along with the kids free model car Make-N-Take event designed to get your kids involved in model building and sponsored by Revell, will be in full force.
As with every Goodguys event this year, a local car club will be featured for the event. For the Spring Lone Star Nationals, the featured clud is the Dallas Area Classic Chevys.
