With the car show season winding down, the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association rolls into Concord, North Carolina, for the 22nd Southeastern Nationals from Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25. Held at one of the most iconic automotive sites in North Carolina, the Charlotte Motor Speedway, this Goodguys event promises to bring more of the same carnival atmosphere the the association has become known for.
With over 2,500 hot rods, customs, classic cars, musclecars, and trucks up to the 1972 model year, the event will host American-made vehicles from all years on Sunday, October 25. The popular Goodguys autocross will run all three days, crowning an event winner on the final day.
An event that has become synonymous with the Southeastern Nationals event is the Charlotte Motor Speedway cruise where members can cruise on the race surface around the speedway.
Another unique event to the Goodguys events is the AutoCross for Kids where participants will have an opportunity to ride with the top Goodguys AutoCross PRO drivers in a PRO AutoCross car. As a fund-raising mission, the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association joined with the Austin Hatcher Foundation to help erase the effects of pediatric cancer. These rides take place at the top of every hour.
The standard features, like live music from the Herringbones, the Revell model Make N Take, PPG kids coloring contest, and the model and pedal car show will also be in full effect for the event.
Details are still pending for the Thursday poker run to NASCAR shops, but the Thursday night kickoff party, TGIF party and the Cruises have been set in stone. Don’t miss out on the fun. Event hours go from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24, and 8:00am to 3:00pm on Sunday, October 25.
