After a great weekend in the Golden State, the NSRA road warriors travel 2,200 miles to the east for their 2016 Street Rod Nationals in Knoxville, Tennessee. From the “Bakersfield sound” to the more classic country sound of the Grand Ole Opry, the NSRA crew visits Knoxville for the 42nd year.
Following a very successful 40th anniversary of the Bakersfield event, where some of the best in the west showed up to display their hot rods and street rods for droves of fans that came through the gates, the crew heads east to the volunteer state.
All vehicles of 1986 and earlier manufacture are welcome to register for the event, where everyone expects to see some of the South’s most spectacular vehicles. In addition to the hot rods and street rods, there are several other activities that the vehicles’ owners and their family will enjoy. From the commercial exhibitors, to the Swap Meet – where you might find that elusive piece that you’ve been looking for – and the Women’s World, where exhibitors with items that will interest women as well as men and children.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event. Bring the whole family for a fun day of vintage cars at the Chilhowee Park & Exposition Center. Spectator gate hours will be Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 8th from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
