Goodguys Rod and Custom Association is at it again. On April 4-6, 2014 they are hosting the 14th annual Del Mar Nationals in sunny Southern California. Held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds 20 minutes north of San Diego, the weather and turn out should be astounding.

Vintage front-engine drag cars will be fired up and on display in the Nitro Thunderfest Exhibition.

More than 2,500 pre-1972 cars will be lined up and posed for thousands of spectators to view throughout the weekend. Goodguys will once again be presenting the Nitro Thunderfest Exhibition, getting the crowds fired up on nitro-methane drinking 2,500+ horsepower vintage dragsters.

Legendary hot rod designer Chip Foose will be making a special appearance at the show on Sunday. Foose will be available to sign autographs, meet and greet with fans, and make several show award choices. The brand-new “Chip Foose Experience” semi-truck will be displaying Foose-built hot rods, memorabilia, and collectibles.

Goodguys will also be allowing in a wider range of vehicles on “All American Sunday”. Featuring American made and/or powered vehicles from any year. All American Sunday display vehicles will be eligible for all the show activities including the Show and Shine and competing in the AutoCross event.

As with most every Goodguys event, there are many features that can’t be missed. The vintage parts Swap Meet is a great place to find that last part you need to finish your restoration. Auto Trader will be showcasing vehicles up for sale in the Classic Cars 4 Sale Corral. Vendors and Manufacturers will be lined up through the fairgrounds displaying with live music playing through-out the week-end.
