Vicari Auctions of Harvey, Louisiana is set to host their 2nd annual Cruisin’ Nocona on May 1-3, 2014. After an extremely successful inaugural event last year that produced more than $2.5 million in sales and a selling rate above 80%, Vicari Auctions upped the ante by extending the event to span a total of three days.
Nocona, Texas is quickly becoming the central hub for all things Classic Car in Texas. Vicari has partnered with the City of Nocona and the Horton Classic Car Museum to “launch the newest and fastest growing classic car event in Texas.” Cruisin’ Nocona will feature three days of epic car shows, a classic car poker run with a grand prize of $1,000 and two days of auctions. The auction vehicles are stacking up already. More than 400 vehicles will be placed on the block.
Some of the street rods included are multiple 1930’s rods, a wicked 1967 Plymouth Barracuda touting a 340ci V8 and a highly collectible 1958 Chevy Impala. The Snowcrest white Impala features an HA code 348ci tri-power V8, black and red cloth interior, color keyed door panels, and brushed aluminum throughout. This beauty is predicted to bring in $90,000 – $100,000 at the auction.
“We are enthusiastic about the reception by the public” said Pete Vicari, President and owner of the Vicari Auction Company “and look forward to building this great classic car event with our friends in Nocona.” Vicari Auction Company has been featured on TV series “Bidding Wars,” on the NBC Sports Network and has also filmed on Velocity’s “Fast N’ Loud” series with Richard Rawlings.
