Car shows are so much more than just a line-up of cars to be looked at. They are a social gathering, a time to strut your newest stuff while attendees provide a helpful boom in the local economy. Recently, The National Street Rod Association (NSRA) hosted the 35th annual Street Rod Nationals North Plus in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The event brought in more than 2,500 vintage cars, street rods, trucks, and hot rods into the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds which also brought in an estimated 6,500 attendees.
At each of the NSRA events through the year, hundreds of amazing vehicles slide into their show parking spots and vie for top awards. One such award is the highly sought after “Pro’s Pick” sponsored by high end gauge manufacturer Classic Instruments. Judges wade though the sea of custom built rods and select just five cars that are a cut above the rest.
This year’s Street Rod Nationals North Plus “Pro’s Pick” winners are:
Ron Sportel – Kalamazoo, MI – 1955 Chevrolet Pick Up
Bernie Huizenga – Cedar, MI – 1947 Oldsmobile Woody Wagon
Barry Ewing – Boyne City, MI – 1933 Ford 5 Window
Rodney & Linda Singleton – Brighton, IL – 1932 Ford 2 Door
Randy & Cheryl Van Dyke – Scotts, MI – 1969 Camaro Z-28 RS
Each of these cars deserves the recognition and attention. Classic Instruments knows top notch quality when they see it. They provide precision made instrumentation that is designed to work flawlessly and look amazing at the same time.
