QA1 Teams With Hollywood Hot Rods To Offer New Shock Absorbers

HHR_Shock copy_edited-1The struggle to find parts that suit your klassic kustom can be a bit aggravating at times. Luckily, when it comes to shock absorbers, QA1 has heard the distress signal and responded with new shock absorbers. Designed in league with Hollywood Hot Rods, these shocks feature chrome-plated aluminum construction and rebound/compression adjustability for the rear versions. See additional details below.

Official Release:

QA1 has teamed with the legendary Troy Ladd of Hollywood Hot Rods to release traditional-looking, adjustable shocks for street rods.

QA1 President, Melissa Scoles is excited about the team-up, “Troy has been great to work with. His expertise as an award-winning street rod builder has been invaluable as we worked together to design this new series of shocks.”

Following Hollywood Hot Rods’ “Respect Tradition” motto, the Hollywood Hot Rods Series shocks are offered both front smooth body and rear threaded body and made of chrome plated aluminum for show quality appearance. For a nostalgic look, the front smooth body shocks have a chrome plated, bell shaped dust cover. Drivers can also get ride height adjustability with the rear threaded body shocks. A low profile slot-style adjuster allows you to choose from 36 options of rebound adjustment with a comfortable compression setting. This inconspicuous adjuster tailors the shock for any setup, weight, spring rate and driving comfort to fit the needs of your hot rod or custom car setup.

“Traditionally, hot rod shocks on the market are valved one way, and unless you have something custom made, how can you expect it to work properly on your unique vehicle?” said Troy. “The Hollywood Hot Rods Series shocks offer the perfect look and performance adjustability.”

Like all of QA1’s aluminum shocks, the Hollywood Hot Rods Series shocks are serviceable and rebuildable by QA1 authorized service centers and are 100% dyno tested and serialized before leaving QA1’s Lakeville, Minnesota facility.

Features:

  • Rear shocks are threaded for ride height adjustability
