Fully assembled and fixture-welded for precision fit, 1955-1957 Chevy two-door hardtop and two- and four-door sedan roof top structures from Real Deal Steel are perfect for restoring seriously rusted roofs or returning a chopped/removed top to original.
Paired with a reproduction roof skin, the structures provide an affordable, time-saving way to return rotted and damaged roofs to original without expensive cutting and patching. The top structure includes complete side rails, including rear doglegs by the rear window openings.
The components also fit 1955-1957 Pontiac Catalina two-door hardtops and 1955-1957 Chieftain two-and four-door sedans.
They can be ordered as separate items or assembled by Real Deal Steel technicians. The structures and skins are the same high-quality components used in the construction of Real Deal Steel reproduction 1955-1957 Chevy bodies.

Real Deal Steel produces all-steel reproduction bodies for American Classics from the Forties, Fifties and Sixties: 1940 Ford five-window coupes, 1955-1957 Chevys, 1967-1969 Camaros and Firebirds and 1966-1967 Chevy II Nova two-door hardtops. Ford bodies are licensed by Ford Motor Company and Chevrolet bodies are licensed by GM.
The bodies are assembled in Sanford, FL, from high quality steel structural components to exact factory specifications on Real Deal Steel’s proprietary assembly fixtures that guarantee exact factory-spec fit every time.
All structural and skin assembly utilizes water-cooled 220V resistance spot welders – the same technology used in much-larger automotive assembly plants. Real Deal Steel generally uses 25 percent more spot welds than original to give the bodies added strength.
In addition to factory-original bodies, Real Deal Steel also offers modification options such as customized firewalls and mini-tub wheel housings, in addition to a wide selection of individual steel panels for American classics.
