Our latest bombshell Babe has taken the pinup world by storm. After winning the Miss Mooneyes Contest last December, there was nothing holding back this little firecracker!  Meet Miss Dee Dee Cupcake, Rod Authority’s Babe Of The Month for November 2019.

Who is Dee Dee Cupcake?

DeeDee Cupcake is a tiny little babe who loves dad jokes, tiki bars, and enjoying life to the fullest. I always love taking risks, trying new things and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I have loved vintage style ever since I was five years old after I saw an episode of the I Love Lucy Show.

I remember thinking she was the total package, and I wanted to be just like her when I grew up. I didn’t know anyone in the scene until I went to the Viva Las Vegas weekender for the first time in 2014. When I walked into the car show and saw hundreds of people dressed just like me, I realize I was “home.” I have been involved in the retro community ever since.

How did you get into pinup modeling?

Winning Miss Mooneyes really propelled my modeling career forward, I have done more shoots in the last year than I ever have. I did my first gig with Roy Varga in 2015, and then it just went from there after people kept telling me I was photogenic and the pinup aesthetic suited me. I am always so humbled anytime anyone asks to take my picture, professional or not.

You are so multi-faceted, always hustling and moving what keeps you motivated?

I am a true Aries in every sense of the word and a trait of ours is that we get bored easily, so we always need to keep things exciting. I love trying new things and I am also a hard-working Midwest girl, so I will do whatever I have to do to get the job done. I am always looking for the next opportunity to create, and if I can turn it into a job for myself, even better. A lot of my ideas and projects come about because I don’t see anyone doing it, but I think there’s a need for it – for example, my pinup pageantry class. 

I thought it would be great if there was a class to help ladies interesting in competing in pageants because there was nothing like that out there, so I just created the class myself. I love being a trailblazer and doing things no one has thought of or done, or maybe doing them in a way no one has done it before. Adding my own DeeDee flair to everything I do is one of my trademarks, from the way I dress to how I compete in contests.

What’s your favorite car show to attend?

I would have to say the Viva Las Vegas car show because that is where I was exposed to the scene for the first time and realized there were other people into the same thing I was. In a way, I felt like stepping into that car show was the first day of my life, if that makes sense. I remember thinking “Hey, these are my people!” I was incredibly underdressed because I didn’t realize that it was also a fashion show, so that part was funny, but I enjoyed myself so much that day. My second favorite car show would have to be Mooneyes! I am bummed they are taking a year off, but selfishly happy to hang onto my title for one more year. 

If you could have any classic car what would it be and why?

There are so many great ones but I love lowriders because they are short just like me :) I also have a special place in my heart for Mercurys because I posed with one right after I won Miss Mooneyes. Honestly, it’s so hard to choose because I see so many gorgeous cars all the time!

What’s your favorite tiki bar?

That’s a tough call between Frankie’s Tiki Room and Tiki Ti. Frankie’s is what started it all for me, but Tiki Ti is literally my second home here in LA. A second runner up is Hala Kahiki in River Grove, IL.

What would the perfect date?

I’m a little old fashioned in that I do enjoy a gentleman coming to my door and picking me up, so that would be the first step. Dinner at a restaurant, it doesn’t even have to be fancy, but I love eating and trying new food, plus talking over a meal is a great way to get to know someone.

After that, going to a comedy club would be the perfect way to end the night – I love laughing and joking and if my date doesn’t have a sense of humor then he can’t get on the DeeDee train!
